June is my birthday month and it is stirring up so much childhood nostalgia. I grew up in the 1980s watching Saturday morning cartoons and collecting neon colored animal stickers. My picks below are a new take on what I loved as a kid and still love as an adult!
Em & Sprout’s Pee Wee and Chairry enamel pin set is something I recently bought myself. I loved watching Pee Wee’s Playhouse and thought that living there would be so cool!
Jem made me want to have brightly colored hair, glitter makeup and rockin’ clothes. Those things are easier than ever to have today but her magical changing earrings are another story – until now! Finally light up Jem earrings for those who are truly outrageous!
My love of animals started off at an early age thanks to Lisa Frank. Her bright colored kitties, puppies and bears made it on to everything I owned with her sticker line. Now I can get ready with her using a cruelty free makeup brush!
I am horrible with organization. Maybe this little storage container featuring all of my favorite 1980s Sanrio characters could help me with my clutter?
Rainbow Brite’s Sprite friends had me envious! I wanted fluffy magical creatures to hang out with me. Maybe surrounding myself with a plushie or two will add some magic into my life!
Saving the best for last is this Lydia Deetz print by Mizna Wada (I actually own it!). My sister and I watched Beetlejuice so many times as a kid I am surprised our VHS did not fall apart. Lydia still is true to my heart, my hobbies and my style!
