Last month a new Tamagotchi was released in Japan. In it you get to play with a mix of Tamagotchi and Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, Kiki, Lala, Gudetama, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll and My Melody!
I’ve already got a Tamagotchi P with Sanrio Pierce and this mix version is also high on my wish-list.
Just like the very first Tamagotchi from the 90’s you get to raise a creature into adulthood, but nowadays the gameplay is much more fun. You can play minigames, visit places, decorate your room and so on. In the game you’ll see Sanrio characters, items and locations, such as the dreamland from Little Twin Stars.
With the new ‘m!x’ feature the offspring of two Tamagotchi parents will have traits from both parents. This means that you can get various outcomes, for instance a mix of Gudetama and My Melody or a mix between a Tamagotchi and Sanrio character.
The Tamagotchi Mix doesn’t come cheap with prices starting around $60. It’s mostly sold out now so you’ll have to try your luck on eBay.

July 11, 2021 at 9:07 amI think this one is Japanese only, although it is quite old now (this post is from 2017) so maybe they’ve released an English version more recently.
