YumeTwins is a monthly subscription box from TokyoTreat which features 8-10 cute and authentic items from Japan. You can expect to find adorable plushies, collectible toys, stationery and accessories inside the box.
We were sent the September Box to review and it arrived within a week, straight from Tokyo! I was pretty surprised by the delivery speed and the fact that the box was quite sturdy. Both the illustrated box and the accompanying booklet are a pleasure to look at.
Let’s see what came with September’s YumeTwins Box, themed ‘New Lifestyle’.
First up are two bathroom products. The mini towel is large enough to clean your face or hands during a trip and contains a pretty embroidered Peko-chan picture. It’s of a good quality and feels soft to the touch. The bath bomb comes in the shape of Sanrio’s most popular characters and I got Pompompurin (^_^). Since I’m allergic to pretty much everything, my hubby volunteered to try it out. He said that the bath bomb didn’t fizz for very long, but the smell was good and not overwhelming.
The fun part of this bath bomb is that it reveals a plastic figurine once dissolved! I got lucky and found a golden Pompompurin.
I also found another beauty product inside the box; a Little Twin Stars package of blotting sheets. Once opened the twins will pop-up in a super cute scenery. These sheets will certainly come in handy to quickly fix a shiny nose or forehead.
As a fan of the Little Twin Stars I was happy to see them on the pack of post-its as well. These sticky sheets are perfect to give your desk a cute touch.
Next up is a Doraemon blind-box from Rement, a Japanese brand of miniatures and character figurines. Inside it you can find one out of eight possible Doraemon characters, in a funny shape such as a hero, man and bird. As you can see my Doraemon shape-shifted into a dog with duck face ;)
I’ve got a small obsession for white cats, ever since I’ve adopted one. So the small Shinada cat plush and Neko Atsume cup with Tubbs really brought a smile to my face. The soft plush fits into the palm of your hand and it pops right back into shape after you’ve squeezed it. The sturdy melamine cup is decorated with Neko Atsume characters all around, so cute!
The YumeTwins box also revealed a fruit coloured Shinada Baby Nature plushie. This sheep’s ‘wool’ is very soft and I really like its innocent expression.
To say thank you to their subscribers, YumeTwins included a mystery treat from their TokyoTreat snack box. I received a pack of Meiji’s Pineapple Gummy -made out of 100% natural pineapple juice – and enjoyed the taste of this candy.
I was very pleased with this subscription box. All the items are official merchandise of a good quality. I would have bought most of them myself, so the content really fits my taste.
Tomorrow is the last day to subscribe if you’d like to receive the October YumeTwins box, with a Must-Have Kawaii Goodies theme. Subscriptions are $29.99 per month including shipping worldwide, with discounts for longer subscriptions. SCK readers can also get $5 off your subscription with the code CUTEKAWAII
