If you love kawaii crafts and fashion you’ve definitely heard of Twinkie Chan and her foodie crochet creations and colourful outfits. Following her first book of food-themed scarves, this new book is called Twinkie Chan’s Crocheted Abode a la Mode and features 20 yummy crochet projects for your home.

This is such a cute book with fun photography and so many clever ideas to cute up your home. After flicking though, I pretty much just wanted to go and live inside the book.

The projects are split into four sections – kitchen & dining, living & lounging, bath & beauty and home office – and each has an array of projects in various sizes and difficulties, from pen cosies to giant pillows.

My absolute favourite is that donut pouf, but you’ll also find a liquorice allsorts blanket, grocery fridge magnets and even birthday cake toilet roll cosies.

Here’s a look at the amazing home office section, complete with a loaf of bread letter organiser, taco pencil case and TV dinner tablet cosy. I love how useful everything is so you’re not just cluttering up your home, but adding a bit of fun to your everyday tasks.

I’ve tried to learn how to crochet a couple of times and I think I need to pick it up again as I would love to make some of these projects. If you’re already a crocheter, you should definitely check out the book and even if you don’t, it’s such a cute book that it’s almost worth buying just for the photos and inspiration.

Twinkie Chan’s Crocheted Abode a la Mode is available now from Amazon, all these online stores and your favourite local bookstore. Don’t forget you can win a copy of the book, plus a honey bear apron (or the yarn to make one) in our giveaway – ends Tuesday!
(Book was provided by the publishers for review but these are my honest opinions and the photos are my own)
