Kuro-e’s Kawaii Favourites

Posted on February 3, 2010 by

Hello!  My name is Chloe , I’m an artist, designer and creator of Kuro-e. I love fashion, pattern, textiles and everything kawaii!

Age has no limits with cuteness and somewhere inside everyone there is still the little giggling child they once were, so I’ve chosen a few of my favourite kawaii items to create a super cute kawaii outfit!! I’m looking forward to spring so here are my fun fashion choices for a kawaii style.

Firstly I decided on this Fifi Lapin t-shirt. J’adore fifi lapin and check her blog daily. You can’t get any cuter than an adorable rabbit with huge glasses and fabulous fashion sense!

Then to pair up with the t-shirt are these gorgeous paper bag waisted shorts with cute bow tied belt from Modcloth. I love bows! I think ever since I made a farfalle pasta bow necklace as a child I’ve always loved them. They instantly make any outfit cute, invest in a bow brooch to add sweetness to any top or headband and it’s easy to tie a scarf into a bow to use as a belt.

Talking about cute brooches I saw this bunny lapel pin by artist Hoi-An-Tang, it definitely goes on my wish list! Floppy ears!

To finish the outfit, a pair of super cute kawaii Irregular Choice shoes. I must admit I’m more of a bag girl than a shoe girl and had so many choices but when I saw these shoes out shopping at the weekend the cuteness hit me straight away. Sweet teddy bear design and I love the diamond check with the striped fabric laces tied in a bow. I don’t wear heels often but when I do I can’t help but feel like a lady, these would make me walk with a skip in my step.

Now with all that kawaii cuteness you will need a rest, so grab a cuppa and relax on this fantastic limited edition art cushion by Poked Studio.

Thanks for letting me share my kawaii finds and would love to hear of other kawaii fashion ideas.
