Hello, I’m Jen and I make stuff and then sometimes blog about it at jempins.co.uk.
I spend a goodly portion of each week browsing online and sighing over cuteness, so I am super-pumped to be a guest picker on Super Cute Kawaii!
So first up is the hobo ghost rubber stamp by Nikoart. He’s so cute, heading down the road with his ghostly pack. Probably solving crimes, finding lost children, that sort of thing. I love stamps, but never actually have anything I want to stamp, so I mostly buy them for my teacher friend to use when she’s marking, although not sure of the mark the hobo ghost would correspond to.
Next is this ultra cute buzzy bee fabric from Superbuzzy. I’ve loved bumble bees forever, even though I’ve been stung loads of times (I don’t know why the bees hate me), I always rescue bumble bees if they’re inside. This fabric is extra cute because some of the bees have teapots. Bees for tea!
I honestly don’t have a weird thing for insects or creepy crawlies, but I do also have a definite soft spot for snails. If I see one on the pavement I always pick him up and put him in a garden. This little guy is totally adorable, I love his floral shell. Although I would buy everything in Skunk Boy Creatures‘ etsy shop, the characters are all so sweet, they make my heart hurt a little.
The problem with plushies though is that you could easily fill your home with them, so I like to make them and then give them away. I love crocheting and I love love love amigurumis. All the ones I make from my own head end up looking more sinister than cute, but I’ve made a few of Christen Haden’s from her book Creepy Cute Crochet. They only take a couple of hours to make and they make aces wee presents. Or you could just buy them from her etsy shop. Who can resist the monkey?
Finally I wanted to feature a patch, because I’m looking for one to cuteify a cardigan (I enjoy a cardi). In hindsight having written this I could probably have done patches for all my picks, but as I only have one left I’m choosing this lovely rabbit patch by In My Back Yard. My sister and mum had a house rabbit called Rita and she was completely gorgeous. She’s in bunny heaven now, but I still love rabbits.
And that is me, I hope my picks score high on the cuteometer! Kisses!
