It’s already been a couple of years since its release but Genshin Impact is still staying strong, with its latest expansion Sumeru having been released in late 2022 along with a slew of new playable characters.
The housing system function of the game, a.k.a. the Serenitea Pot, also remains to be a popular mode of relaxation and a breather from all the action that Genshin has to offer. Aside from the three basic realms you can choose from, there are two more layouts which you can unlock after fulfilling certain in-game requirements.
If you’re looking for ideas which you can use as inspiration for these unlockable realms, read on below!
Silken Courtyard
Requirement to unlock: Reach Level 40 of the Sacred Sakura’s Favor in Inazuma in order to obtain ‘Silken Print’, then open your inventory and use the item.
Unlucky Tabibito’s Nodoka Ancient Town is drop-dead gorgeous and serene, with its lanterns practically beckoning you to come and take a look around. Reminiscent of Spirited Away, this build has a market as well as great viewing spots where you and your friends can watch the sunset and pass the time. Players who have yet to unlock Silken Courtyard can also use the Emerald Peak realm as an alternative.
This house design by GENSHINFOX is inspired by Inazuma’s resident firestarter Yoimiya, including a fireworks shop inspired by her family’s very own. The layout manages to evoke Yoimiya’s bright and bubbly spirit as well as her heritage in both its interior and exterior.
Magical Pi’s Wish Granting Sakura Shrine is perfect for players aiming to build a spot for their gacha-wishing in hopes of getting the character they want. Whether or not you follow wishing rituals, this layout works well and is beautifully designed with sprawling cherry blossom trees, torii gates, and fox sculptures that make you feel that the crafty Lady Guuji is just around the corner watching you.
Sublime Spicewood
Requirement to unlock: Complete Act IV of the Sumeru Archon Quest then purchase ‘Nature’s True Fruit’ from Tubby inside the Serenitea Pot. Afterwards, open your inventory and use the item.
San Aer’s manor is a rustic home complete with a cozy kitchen, a fountain, and a garden nook, all while being enveloped in an assortment of flora. I also love how Tubby has her own little corner!
The Hymns of Kusanali by Mio Serenitea Pot is an ethereal Sumeru-style sanctuary that looks spectacular by day or night. While the in-game Sanctuary of Surasthana is not quite the same in purpose from its namesake (barring spoilers), I’m sure both Lesser Lord Kusanali and other players would appreciate this area with it being much more free and closer to nature.
Gray’s Modern Treehouse makes for a cute and natural hangout spot with friends, or if you just need a place to take some time for yourself. With four floors that include a kitchen, a crafting workshop, a bedroom, and a rooftop garden, it’s the best way to spend time and relax after a long day of level-grinding and monster-hunting.
How to get your own Serenitea Pot
- Be at least AR (Adventure Rank) 28
- Finish the archon quest “A New Star Approaches” in order to unlock the world quest “A Teapot to Call Home” — once you’re done with the latter quest, Madame Ping will be giving you your own teapot.
