This is starting to become a regular feature as there are so many new cuties being created by independent artists & makers. Here’s some more huggable kawaii plush for your collection, including limited time pre-orders and Kickstarters that won’t be around for long.
Eggo Boi popped up on my Instagram last week and I was immediately smitten due to its adorable face and all the hilarious photos. But really, what’s not to love about a big happy fried egg with secret legs that fold up into a pocket? Pre-orders are open until March 5th at Angelazy Doodles (PH) if you want one for yourself.
There’s always a few kawaii plush campaigns on Kickstarter and Planetbunnie just launched Millie the Blueberry Cow last week. It’s already over half way to the first target and there are stretch goals to add more friends including a frog and strawberry lemonade cow.
Or how about a Turnip Whale? This cute plush is by German artist Weishi and has already smashed through the funding goal with only a few days left to grab one.
Makeship is a different kind of crowdfunding site that helps creators directly to bring their plush ideas to life. They take care of the manufacturing and shipping and you have 21 days to get enough pre-orders to make it happen. It’s worth a browse if you like supporting small artists and there’s usually a few kawaii options. Currently up for funding is this sweet strawberry Mewmilk by Stef Scribbles.
If you don’t want to wait for a new friend, Hibud plushies are back in stock at Yoyo the Ricecorpse (UK), plus a mini keychain version too. It’s a mochi plush so very stretchy and squishy.
Katnipp (UK) has brought her gingerbread man character to life as a cuddly plush and Gingie looks so cute you’ll want to keep him around all year. I really love his scarf!
We’ve been fans of Tasty Peach Studios since the very early days and I was very excited to see their new licensed plush collection at Claire’s (UK). It’s with Aurora (US) and you can pick up lots of different flavours of Meowchi and Nomwhal plush from toy shops worldwide, online and in person.
