Let’s see what everyone’s favourite lazy bear Rilakkuma has been up to lately including new products, craft kits and Netflix show.
If you find crochet difficult, there’s an intriguing new craft kit that could make things easier. The Love Ami Rilakkuma Set is suitable for beginners and promises to help you create cute plush and accessories with the included supplies and instructions. The finished results do look really great, but watching the videos, I think you still need to be pretty crafty to pull it off. It’s available from lots of Japanese shops and AmiAmi, Amazon JP and Toys R Us all have international shipping options. Do let us know if you try it!
If you’re on your third rewatch of Rilakkuma & Kaoru on Netflix (or is that just me?), you’ll be happy to hear a sequel is in production. Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure will have 8 episodes set during a fun-filled day at an amusement park in the same stop motion animation style. The gang will all be back and hopefully Kogumachan will make an appearance too.
The next batch of Rilakkuma products start dropping at San-X Japan this week including a House Party theme with useful home items, new Always With Rilakkuma keyring plush & outfits, and Christmas plushies. You’ll either need to use a forwarding service or wait for items to turn up at shops like AmiAmi (Japan) or MaryBear (USA).
2021 is coming up fast and if you’re ready to make plans again, there’s some very kawaii Rilakkuma schedule books, planners and calendars available, most of which include stickers. VeryGoods (Japan) have a nice selection and ship worldwide.
And if you’re feeling bored at home, Plaza Japan have some fun new Rilakkuma puzzles in stock including this adorable Korilakkuma & Chairoikoguma Acorn house 3D crystal puzzle. They ship worldwide too.
Anything going on your wish list?
