It might seem early for Christmas shopping but there are sure to be extra postal delays this year – especially internationally – so you really can’t start too soon. Our favourite kawaii characters and shops have launched their holiday collections so here’s a few favourites, whether you’re shopping for gifts, making a wish list or planning your festive decorations.
There’s only a few Christmas products at Sanrio USA and the Japanese store seems to be blocking foreign visitors (update: this has been fixed – here’s the Christmas collection), but luckily the EU store has enough holiday cheer for them all. I love everything in the Christmas collection, which includes sweaters, cards and baubles. I definitely need those stickers!
Pusheen and friends are ready for the holidays at The Pusheen Shop (USA) with a new sweater, plush, cards and more. There’s lots of cute stuff on sale too so you can afford to really deck out your tree in cute style.
The Pokemon Center (USA) has gone all out for Christmas with plush, ornaments, stockings, pyjamas and even tableware featuring Pikachu, Eevee and the gang. Why does that Ditto bauble on Eevee’s tree not exist in real life?
I already shared the Rilakkuma Christmas plush but Sumikko Gurashi are also ready for some festive fun with mini plush and a big plushy sled to sit on. You can get them all from Very Japan, and Cuteness NL (EU) still have some of the plushies from 2019 and 2018.
It’s a very Miffy Christmas at The Miffy Shop (UK) who are stocking up with personalised gifts, sparkly plush, wrapping paper, tea light decorations and more. How cute is Melanie in her Christmas dress?
And I had to include Momiji (UK / USA) as they have some cute new limited edition holiday items that you won’t want to miss out on. Snowphie is the latest super cute doll release, plus there’s storybook sets and enamel pins.
Marceline is the co-founder and editor of Super Cute Kawaii and author of The Super Cute Book of Kawaii. She also designs cute character goods as Asking For Trouble. Having visited Japan five times, Marceline is enormously inspired by all things Japanese and especially loves bunnies, space and any kind of food object with a happy face.
