Considering the size of my unused washi tape collection, I’m very much banned from adding to it. That doesn’t stop me browsing though and if you’re looking for more, here’s some Etsy shops with lots of cute designs, including both small artists and Japanese brands. Check their shops for more.

Kiki Studio (UK) has such a cute illustration style and this Asian snacks washi tape is so colourful and brings back happy memories of my Japan trips. I really like that you can cut it up into individual stickers as well. I actually ended up buying this as they are having a big final sale before relocating back to South Korea. If you have your eye on something, you only have a few days left!

Robot Dance Battle (US) always have so many new designs when I check in and obviously I squealed a bit over Bunny Pie Time! Two of my favourite things as a roll of tape. I also love the Space Rabbits and Boba Ghosts.

Sarah Frances (UK) was a new find for me and the washi tapes are a real love letter to British wildlife. The shells are so beautiful but there’s also moths, butterflies, birds, flowers and lots more.

If winter is getting you down, Colour Their Day (UK) are sure to add some joy with their bright rainbow stationery. You can buy over 50 washi tape designs individually or in sets and they’d be perfect for cheering up journal spreads or snail mail.
The rest of the picks are widely available Japanese brands so search around for other stockists near you.

Clear tape is a growing trend and it works just like washi tape so it’s removable and you can cut it into shapes. SomedaySomeplace (JP) stocks a lot of designs by the SODA brand with both decorative motifs and larger animals, stamps and borders. The way they’ve been used in this journal is so pretty.

BGM had the brainwave to make clear tape with stained glass designs and it’s so effective. These would be fun for decorating glass jars to use as storage or gifts. Simona’s Pretties (US) has them all in stock, along with hundreds more BGM tapes.

Mind Wave have a new collection of die-cut washi tape with lots of cute animals that would look great as borders in a journal. The otters are especially good as it looks like a river! OneTwoThree Room (JP) has the whole collection, and many more.

Even though Bande sticker tape has been around for ages now, it still feels novel and I love to see what new ideas they come up with for it. These Snow Dome Fairytale designs are too cute with so many tiny details. If snow globes feel too Christmassy for you just now, Moji Stationery (JP) also have Alice in Wonderland and cats!

And finally, craftyjapan (AU) is currently having a big clearance sale with 25%-50% off everything. They stock a lot of mt washi tape including these mt Casa designs for interiors. I used the big dots to decorate the drawers of a plain IKEA unit 12 years ago and they still look great.
