I love when the leaves start to change, signaling my favorite time of year has arrived, which gets me in the mood to do some seasonal decorating. One of the easiest ways to celebrate autumn is with a wreath. Whether you’re looking to purchase one or get creative and make it yourself, here are some autumn and fall inspired wreaths to buy and DIY.
Country Living has a list of 62 DIY Fall Wreath Ideas to spruce up your front door and there are a couple of standouts to me. Click through for the full instructions. For this Ombre Fall Wreath (#19) all you have to do is dye or paint the corn husks, which you can find online or at a crafts store, and hot glue them around a foam wreath. I like how when arranged they look like a sunburst. The pictured wreath has yellow, orange, pink, and red, but you could do any colors of your choosing.
The Owl Wreath (#24) is made from a variety of materials. The one pictured uses burlap ribbon, a styrofoam form, sisal doormat, raffia table skirt, mason jar lids, bottle caps, wood beads, and pumpkin seeds – it’s a lot of stuff but you could get creative and use what you already have.
I featured Bloomy Concept (EU) for my Summer Flower Crafts & DIYs post, and they have a DIY Wreath Kit for Autumn, as well as a Halloween version with beautiful blues. There’s also finished wreaths to buy.
The Home Depot (US) has this Fall Harvest Wreath with yellow and blue wood shaving flowers, fall leaves, dry wheat, grass pinecones, and straw. I really like the blue flowers accented with the yellow.
The Celebrate Together line at Kohls (US) features a Fall Pumpkin & Gourd Wreath which is so cute with all of its variation of little squashes.
I love that this Autumn Wreath is heart-shaped. By Style Sparkle (UK) on Etsy, it’s made of wicker and decorated with fabric maple leaves, acorns, dried mini pumpkins, pine cones, orange slices, and hydrangea flowers.
I hadn’t seen these burlap Pumpkin Wreaths before and I thought they were such a cute idea. Notable Wreaths (US) has this one available on sale right now.
