Unique & Fun Kawaii Stationery

I’m always excited to see new stationery innovations so here’s another roundup of unique and fun products you’ll want to add to your wishlist with stickers, tape, desk accessories and more.

My favourite find recently are these pop-up stickers from King Jim (Asia/US), which are available in 8 super cute designs. They’d be so fun in a journal or on a card and only have a light adhesive so you can rearrange them into a new scene whenever you like. They’re also available at lots of stationery shops worldwide if you can’t shop at the main stores.

Cute Things From Japan (JP) have new SODA brand clear tapes in stock with so many cute designs to choose from including animals, food and nature. Some, like these cats, are individual stickers while others have a longer repeating pattern.

These Praise sticker sheets from Mango Town (US) hit that nostalgic childhood sticker hoarding sweet spot perfectly and feature all their kawaii puff tiger plushies. The intentionally amateurish graphic design style complete with horrible font choices is just hilarious and they’d be sure to cheer up anyone.

If you or a friend have a birthday coming up, get the celebrations started early with a 10-day Birthday Countdown Calendar from Pipsticks (US). Each day there’s exclusive stickers to open which you can use to decorate your calendar for a keepsake. And yes, there’s Halloween and Christmas versions too…

Studio Ghibli have been coming up with some really clever stationery lately and these little notecards at Maison Ghibli (EU) are designed to look like the train tickets from Spirited Away! There’s space on the back for a little note so they’d be lovely to pop in with a gift.

If you’re heading back to school or studies soon, a new pencil case always feels like a treat. These Kutsuwa Relala pen cases at JetPens (US) come in a few cute animal designs with 2 padded zipper compartments that unfold into a wrist rest for some extra support when typing.

Maths is not my strong point and I use the calculator on my phone all the time. I should probably get myself a separate calculator and Sanrio (US) just added some very colourful and kawaii calculators themed around Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody & Kuromi.

A pinboard above your desk is a great way to display your favourite photos and mementos but if you don’t want to damage them with pin holes or tape, Shattered Earth (US) have made these clever corner pins. They have 2 posts on the back so you can pin them over the corners, holding everything in place. Choose from 3 different colours of ribbon bows, or there’s cats too!
