As a stationery collector I love to see unique and innovative ideas that do something clever or surprising. Here’s some kawaii stickers, tape, stamps and more that you’ll want to try.
Joy for 80s kids everywhere as Pipsticks (US) have scratch n’ sniff stickers! They come in lots of super cute designs, with fun fruit and food scents. Stick them in your journal or on letters for an extra surprise.
I’m also in awe of these Shaker-Pops by Doodlebug Design, which are large stickers filled with bubbles, sprinkles, sequins and other little items that move around when you shake it! Scrapbook.com (US) has most of the collection (and you really need to see them all!) or you can search for local stockists near you, like Colour Splash Supplies (UK) .
These BT21 figures are adorable and would make a cute desk accessory but they’re also rolling stamps that create a repeating design when you push down and move it around. Choose your favourite from 7 characters at ARTBOX (UK).
Not quite as cute, but even more useful are these rotating date stamps from Midori with a choice of border designs to colour in. They’re great for journaling and organising as you can rotate the rings to select a date, month and icon. Washi Wednesday (SG) has a few to choose from with cats, forest animals, flowers, books and more.
These highlighter sticky notes at Mochi Things (US) are a very clever replacement for both highlighter pens and sticky memos. You can cut them to any size, they’re easily removable and you also can write on top. I think these would be so handy for trip planning.
BGM always come up with such cool ideas for tape and I love these clear tapes at JetPens (US) that look like rolls of photo film. They even have a fuzzy print quality to make them look vintage. The spring sakura design is my favourite but there’s lots more and some stained glass designs too.
I was in Claire’s (UK) recently and they have so much novelty stationery on offer that can’t help but make you smile. Who wouldn’t be a little happier with a lockable diary filled with squishy bear faces? There’s lots of fluffy notebooks and stationery sets too, all with cute animal and food themes.
Sanrio (JP – requires forwarding service) has a new range of stationery cases that can stand up so everything is easily accessible while you work. These would be great for travel, or journaling on the go.
Which do you think is the coolest idea?
