One of my favourite things about this time of year are the beautiful, brightly coloured leaves that are everywhere. Not only in nature, but in all the seasonal decor too. Let’s inject a little bit of autumn/fall into our homes with one (or all of) these lovely leafy crafts.
Origami leaves can be a fun craft for rainy days, especially using this tutorial from Origami Craft TV. However, you can repurpose them as hanging decorations or even place names for an autumn gathering.
Decorating pumpkins at this time of year doesn’t need to be Halloween themed. These leaf designs from Country Living (either carved or using tissue paper) give them an autumnal feel, rather than a spooky one.
I love watercolour paintings so this tutorial featuring gorgeous autumn foliage from Shayda Campbell drew me in straight away. These would be perfect for an autumn print or seasonal cards for your friends.
Wreaths aren’t just for Christmas anymore – every holiday and season seems to have them! Use real leaves, like Gardening Know How for a natural look, or paper, like Polkadot Chair for use indoors instead.
If you want to bring the autumn leaves inside without actually having foliage in your house, why not try using them as fabric stamps like StitchCraftCreate and give yourself some leafy napkins or cushion covers.
