As you may know, April is Autism Acceptance month. So, in honour of this, today I’ll be sharing some cute stim toys, or fidget toys. Whether you’re neurodivergent or not, the normalisation of these helps everyone! You’ll find most of these fidget toys on a range of websites worldwide, not just the ones listed below.
Bubble wrap is one of my favourite things, so these bubble wrap toys that have recently gained popularity are very quickly becoming one of my favourites. Woah Dude (UK) is full of quirky, cute items, so it’s definitely worth a look.
These endless edamame from Tofu Cute (UK) are so kawaii, and I think they’re a reasonably subtle toy to have with you. I bet they’d be nice on a lanyard. Tofu Cute also has a lovely range of squishies.
Squishmallows are awesome! While they currently only ship within the USA, there are many worldwide retailers that they are available from. If you visit the linked website, there are even some themed colouring pages available. This duck is probably my all time favourite.
While a little bit more pricey, Chewigem (UK) is an amazing company that sell, amongst other things, chewellry. If you haven’t heard of this before, chewellry is chewable jewellery. I used to really struggle, I’d even chew through t-shirts, so these have really helped me. I especially love these cat necklaces, in particular the glow in the dark one, it’s perfectly creepy cute.
Weighted blankets are known to help calm anxiety, amongst other benefits, but have you heard of weighted toys? Calming Blankets (Australia) has a super cute range of weighted soft animals, all with an Australian theme, including this weighted fennec fox.
Tangles (USA) are one of the best fidget toys there are. I always feel better with one of these in my hands! This unicorn tangle is so cute.
Of course I have to include a squishy! This Sumikko Gurashi squishy is from Blippo (Hong Kong).
This animal shaped massage roller from Sensory Smart Store (UK) is perfect for sensory seekers. I had a similar one as a kid, it gives an awesome sensation. The listing for this is assorted so you might get a rabbit or fish, but my favourite is definitely this duck.
