If you’re tired of looking at the same things after staying at home all summer, or you’ve moved into a new place, art prints are a quick and affordable way to make blank walls cute. Here’s some tips for finding kawaii art prints you’ll love to look at every day.
The art prints category of print on demand sites like Society6 (USA) are a great place to look for kawaii artists who might not sell prints through their own shops. There’s lots of different sizes and styles available and you can even order them framed, plus they have regular sales and offers including free international shipping. One of my latest favourites is the neon pastel art of SURUDENISE, especially when it involves Tokyo and cats!
Redbubble is another print on demand site and ships art prints from a few places around the world including the UK, Europe, Australia and the US. You’ll find a few SCK favourites here including KiraKiraDoodles, whose cute space art is so dreamy.
If you prefer to support artists directly, Etsy is full of kawaii art. These pick and mix mini prints by ShopZoki (USA) are such good value and a few would look adorable framed together or as part of a gallery wall.
For something a bit different, I Like Cats (UK) have miniature picture gallery kits so you can create your own tiny art wall. They include lots of different artworks to choose from and some laser cut frames to stick on top. I bought the original kit back in the spring and now there’s a spooky Halloween one too.
Prints can be expensive to ship, especially internationally, but some artists offer digital prints that you can print yourself or send to a local printing company. A lot of it is billed as nursery art but if you love a simple colourful style, they’ll work in any room and at any age. PlanetB612Design have lots of cute animals to choose from.
And it’s always worth checking your favourite stores and brands to see if they sell prints. Sanrio’s European store has a cool exclusive print collection (love the Sanrio Girls!) and some personalised prints, while the USA store has motivational prints with Jolly Awesome.
Look out for another post later this month about adding one of a kind art pieces to your walls without spending a fortune.
