Do you like spoiling your cat? I know I love spoiling Mady and Mortis with toys and treats – the problem is that they get bored with stuff so fast and money gets wasted. I searched high and low for cat toys you can make at home for pennies and even tested a few out (with the help of my furry assistants).
This video by Furball Fables has a lot of trash to treasure toy ideas. I created a few balls from cardboard tubes and the cats liked them for the most part!

Morty preferred rings and that is an option – especially if your cat hunts rubber bands.
Do you have socks sitting around collecting dust because you lost their mate? Turn those socks into fish! Craft Factory shows you how to make a fishy toy in minutes.

I made this kitty bed with a cardboard case from bottled water. I painted it (using nontoxic acrylic paint) and added some marker dots to make it cute. I bought a $1 sheet of felt to line it – but feel free to use an old towel or blanket if you wish.
If you are more adventurous you can craft a colorful cardboard mansion inspired by Like Amagic’s video! Check out all the fun details!

No matter what you make I am sure your kitty cat(s) will be happy. Just remember all toys need supervision when in use to keep kitties safe.
