It’s been a whole year since I bought a big Rilakkuma plush and I’m so glad I did. Not only is he great for emergency hugs but he doubles up as a squishy pillow when I’m lounging on the couch. If you’ve got some cash to spend, big kawaii plushies are not as expensive as you might think – here’s a few suggestions.

The plush I bought is long sold out but ARTBOX (UK) have this adorable sitting Rilakkuma plush with super fluffy fur – and Korilakkuma is available too.

Tofu Cute (UK) have loads of adorable Amuse plushies in big sizes including some new party FLAN animals. They look so colourful and floppy.

There’s plenty affordable plush and body pillows with the Kakao Friends (EU) characters but I’d be tempted to spend a bit more for this adorable KANGDANIEL Apeach pillow. So comfy! US fans can shop at their Amazon store.

Pusheen is always huggable but especially as a Squisheen. These log size would make a great nap time pillow. Get her from The Pusheen Shop (USA) or Amazon (UK).

And a rare appearance from Pochacco as this pillow at Sanrio USA looks so squeezably cute.
