While a lot of my interests/posts involve cats, I actually do love dogs too! And since I’ve been coming across a lot of cute Shiba Inu DIYs as of late, I figured it was as good a time as any to make a dog-related post for a change.
For something quick and simple, CutEasy has a cute video on how to draw a Shiba Inu. I’ve ended up with a small collection of Shiba stickers, so I definitely want to include this doodle in a future Shiba-themed journal spread!
Papercraft enthusiasts seeking a challenge may find one in Dahchan Origami’s chubby Shiba Inu 3D origami tutorial. The face is so kawaii that I’m tempted to try it, but I know better than to attempt it with my incredibly basic origami skills.
It’s been a very long time since I’ve attempted any kind of nail art—I’ve become quite lazy with it the past few years! However, Nailbees’ pastel Shiba Inu nail art is so cute I couldn’t pass up mentioning it here.
I also can’t leave out Chelsey DIY’s squishy Shiba. I love how chubby it is! I still haven’t been brave enough to attempt a 100% handmade squishy, but one day soon I’d like to make this one so I can have a cute desk pal!
There is also plenty of tutorials for needle felting different styles of Shibas, but my favorite is this one on the Chichimachi Wool Felt channel. The videos are made in Japanese, but English subtitles are conveniently included to make it easier to understand.
