Free Kawaii Mobile Games

Posted on

Last week I came across a host of mobile games that I have somehow managed to miss this entire time, although in some cases they are relatively new. You can never have too many cute games on your phone for times where you have a few minutes to kill while traveling or waiting in a long line, so I wanted to share. Beware: they can be addictive! All games are free (pay to play optional) and available for iOS and Android.

Axolochi is basically an axolotl-lovers version of Tamagotchi; your main goal is to feed, bathe, and play with your axolotl so that it continues to grow until adulthood. It’s then released, and you start over with a new egg. It’s a really cute and simple premise made cuter by dress up, treasure-hunting, and mini game options. You can buy extras but the game is 100% playable without doing so.

Food Truck Pup: Cooking Chef

Food Truck Pup is one of my favorite phone games of all time and has nearly reached Pocket Camp status already for me. With the cutest pixel art style, you begin the game by picking a pup chef and immediately jump into your food truck adventure. You forage for ingredients, pass out advertisement flyers, and cook for your customers to complete goals and unlock new areas and ingredients. You can even hire part-time employees to help you out when your empire starts to grow!

I think my favorite part are the clothes and furniture you can buy to customize your truck and pup chef. There are even minigames to help you earn coins and upgrade bones.

Furistas Cat Cafe

At the top of my favorites list with Food Truck Pup is Furistas Cat Cafe. If you have a dream of running a cat cafe, this game can help you fulfill it virtually! As you progress in-game, you adopt cats and match them to patrons, complete cleaning, cooking, and barista tasks, customize your café visuals, and even get to interact with them! It’s so cute and includes realistic kitty noises, which makes this a nice game to play when you’re stressed. It’s so fun I wish it would be expanded for a console or PC game!

If kawaii visuals are your thing, look no further than Clawbert! The premise is simple: help Clawbert catch and collect all the toys available in each world, and then move on to the next. While not a detailed game, I appreciate that I can play it without feeling like I’ve missed something important if I skip a day. Plus, the art style is super cute! There’s even a pastel version, Clawberta, arriving next month!

Tsuki Adventure

Tsuki Adventure is a passive, story-driven adventure game that’s meant to be cute, simple and relaxing. Tsuki the bunny is the main character who inherits their grandfather’s farm and moves to the country to take care of it. Not only is it cute, but also very heartfelt in that it emphasizes how important it is to slow down and appreciate the little things in life.
