2019 is the year of the pig (or boar) and I hope it’s going to be a super cute one. We’re definitely excited to share more about our first book with you before it’s published in July.
As always, our favourite kawaii characters have been dressing up as this year’s animal. Rilakkuma looks adorable in his poncho with a ribbon-wrapped baby boar. If you’ve got a spare £140/$180, this giant plush goes on sale at San-X on the 7th.
All the Sanrio characters are dressed up as pigs and boars too, with cute pastel colours and charms that remind me of Ghibli’s Porco Rosso. These are much more affordable at around £6/$8 and can be ordered from Sanrio Japan
