I was surprised to see we’ve never done a post all about otters before so it’s definitely time to fix that. I’ve searched up the cutest picks to buy or make, all created by kawaii artists, designers and makers.

PinsomniaDesigns (CAN) is delightfully nerdy and they have a few otter enamel pins to choose from, all of which are super cute. This Show ‘N’ Tell pin is my favourite but there’s also a Plant Mom, Snacky Boi and Witch.

We’ve featured Stami Studios’ (UK) Pride flag pins before but it is Pride Month and there’s a huge 60% off spring sale so it’s a great time to pick up an otter. There’s also matching holo glitter vinyl stickers.

LauraIllustratesShop (US) has a big range of animal keychains that make great use of clear acrylic, like this otter in a fishbowl. It’s sure to make you smile when you pick up your keys or bag.

How can you possibly resist an Otterly Adorable sticker sheet from Afternoon Fika (EU)? There’s all different kinds of otters and all the stickers are weather and scratch proof with clear borders so would be really fun swimming around your water bottle.

Otters can keep you organised too, with this kawaii Relaxing Otter printable planner set by applemoment. The digital download includes weekly and monthly planners, plus a notepad, and you can print out as many copies as you need. There’s some very cute otter clip art sets too that you can use for crafts and journaling.
On to crafts and Chisshy Origami has a simple tutorial for origami sea otters that only uses one sheet of paper. The natural colours used in the video are so nice but you could also use pastels.

curiouspapaya has a sea otter crochet pattern to make a whole family including the cutest little tiny baby otter. The pattern is suitable for beginners and free on their blog, or you can pay a little for a printable PDF copy and support their work.

WhiteProteaArt has some very sweet otter cross stitch patterns to download including this flower design for spring. Or you can get ahead and work on the Autumn and Christmas designs. The patterns all have backstitch details but cross stitch really is easy enough for anyone to try so don’t be intimidated.

For embroidery, Hawthorn Handmade have an Awesome Otters embroidery pattern with lots of swimming otters. It’s easy enough for total beginners and the digital download includes all the help you need to transfer the pattern to fabric and get stitching.
Brush up your drawing skills with Draw So Cute, who shows you How to Draw an Otter in kawaii style. You can do this on paper or a tablet and even use it for a card or journal spread.
