If you’re in the UK or visiting this year, there’s lots of cute events to attend!

Harajuku Haven is an independent J-fashion art exhibition happening in London on the 18-21st of February. Lots of different artists and small businesses will be exhibiting, so I’m excited to see how it turns out! They have hosted other events over the last few months too, so I look forward to seeing what they do next.

Miffy is celebrating her 70th birthday at Leeds City Museum! There’s an interactive exhibition, a Miffy trail, and craft events during the school holidays. She’ll be there until 7th September, and will then be moving to the Time and Tide Museum in Norfolk. I can’t wait to visit it!
ARTBOX have a special ticket offer for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live show in London. Use the code SMARTBOX for £10 off a standing ticket, £25 off a seated ticket or £45 off VIP tickets. It’s only running until 19th March so be quick! You can also book tickets for dates across North America starting in March.

Animaid Cafe in Manchester regularly holds different themed events. Previous events have included a Decoden workshop in collaboration with Cheesecase Factory, a Jujutsu Kaisen event complete with themed drinks and a Gojo lookalike contest, and a Halloween cosplay competition. They post about upcoming events on Instagram, so give them a follow.

You may have seen Animal Crossing exhibitions at aquariums all over the world since Animal Crossing New Horizons came out, but did you know it’s finally coming to the UK? The exhibit will be touring Sea Life aquariums in Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, London and Chessington, between February and August. I can’t wait to see the exclusive merch!

Have you seen the Jellycat pop-up at Selfridges in London? In true British fashion, Jellycat have replicated a fish and chip shop, with cute themed plush instead of actual food. If you purchase Lily Fish, Cosy Chips, or Dot and Meg Mushy Peas, you can see them packed like real fish and chips! These also come with exclusive merch including stickers and enamel pins, though there are other items available as well. You can also see localised variations in Paris, Shanghai and New York.

Don’t forget Hyper Japan is on the 18-20th July this year and tickets will go on sale on 26th February.
I have seen more J-fashion meetups advertised on Instagram lately too, is there one in your nearest city?
