TokyoTreat & Sakuraco create monthly snack boxes to let you experience Japan from the comfort of your own home with seasonal and limited edition snacks and drinks. We’ve teamed up with them to show you what’s inside so here’s a look at the July boxes which are available now – look out for a special discount below!

TokyoTreat – Summer Matsuri Flavorfest

Experience the taste of Japan’s Summer Matsuri with TokyoTreat’s fun and exclusive snack box filled with unique Japanese treats. There are 15 different sweet and savoury items, including a full size bag of KitKats and instant cold ramen noodles, plus a colour booklet. 5 items aren’t suitable for vegetarians.

Emma’s Favourites

  • Hiyashi Ramen – a super refreshing and versatile cold ramen for a hot day.
  • Ramune Mochi – bouncy mochi filled with the perfect summer festival flavour.
  • Super Sour Vinegar Chips – one of my favourite crisp brands did not disappoint.
  • Seven Spice & Mayo Karinto – super spicy but VERY moreish.
  • KitKat Gold Caramel – white chocolate & a hint of caramel takes these to the next level.

Sakuraco – Islands of Okinawa

Sakuraco celebrates the Islands of Okinawa with locally made, traditional, authentic, and artisan Japanese snacks. This month’s box includes 14 different food items including full size bags and extras of some snacks, plus 2 Sanpin (jasmine) tea bags. The exclusive homeware piece is a beautiful hand-painted goldfish mino ware plate. Only 2 items are not vegetarian.

Marceline’s Favourites

  • Salted Caramel Nut Sable – very crunchy sweet & salty cookies – glad there were 2!
  • Kokuto Castella Cakes – fluffy mini sponge cakes with a brown sugar coating.
  • Mango Jelly – refreshing jelly with a strong mango flavour and smooth texture.
  • Vanilla Cream Waffle Cookie – crisp wafers sandwiched with sweet cream.
  • Hozui Sweetfish – painted fish-shaped marshmallow that was almost too pretty to eat.
