Dogs don’t get quite as much attention as cats online but at least they have Doggust! If you’d like to work on a craft project rather than art, here’s some cute doggy DIYs, kits and patterns.

Dreaming of Tokyo (UK) stock a lot of Japanese craft kits and both the Hamanaka needle felting kits and Trikotri pom pom kits have multiple dog breeds to choose from. English translation is included so you don’t have to worry about trying to figure things out yourself.
If you enjoy embroidery, Hawthorn Handmade (UK) have some sweet felt brooch kits with a choice of 3 dogs, all surrounded by flowers. They’re suitable for beginners and everything you need is included in the kit so you can get started straight away.
Make your own dog plushie with the felt sewing patterns at Precious Patterns. They’re very affordable and you get 2 dog breeds in each set. Above are Beagle & Pug but there’s also Corgi & Bulldog and Schnauzer & Yorkie.
I’ve got a couple of free tutorials too, starting with a little amigurumi shiba inu keychain by Binc Bonc. The crochet pattern is suitable for complete beginners so why not give it a try?
Or make an origami dog by following along with this simple tutorial by kamikey origami. While this was originally designed for a year of the dog card, you can skip the text and use it on a card or as a decoration. I love that the coloured side becomes the ears and you could experiment with patterned paper as well.
