It’s National Stationery Week here in the UK so we’ve got a few fun posts lined up for you, starting with some smaller artists. I always need cards for birthdays, thank yous and just to say hello and I try to support small businesses as it’s really hard for them to compete with the low prices of big card companies (one in my town does 5 cards for £1!). Here’s 6 Etsy shops with cute designs.
MyZoetrope (US) has 189 card designs so if you’re a fan of cute animals and puns, you’re sure to find something to suit your needs. As a bonus, they all have rounded corners and colourful envelopes, plus there’s a Buy 4 Get 1 Free offer.
StudioBoketto (UK) was a new find for me and all their cards are very sweet and funny (there’s a few rude/sweary ones too FYI) and also Planet Friendly. The main focus is birthdays but there’s designs for all sorts of occasions and lots of printable cards too if you’ve left it a bit late.
Lindsey Thomas (UK) is a needlefelt artist and has turned some of her creations into cards. All the animals have so much personality and would be sure to cheer up a friend. You can also have the card sent directly to the recipient with a handwritten message inside.
I’m a big fan of Viviane Valenta‘s (EU) kawaii art style and happy to see lots of cards available with cute animals and food with sweet sentiments. The pastel colours and co-ordinated envelopes are perfect too.
If you have a friend who needs a boost, Bored Inc. (US) have lots of positive, supportive and motivational cards that are super cute too. There’s a few different bundle offers available so you can spread the love around.
It’s always worth checking if your favourite artists make cards as they’re ideal when you want to send a card ‘just because’ or for a longer letter. Boygirlparty (US) has lots of individual cards and sets with animal, bird and nature themes that anyone would be happy to receive and display.
