Pokémon Concierge was released worldwide a few weeks ago and Netflix Anime have a lovely making of video with dwarf studios who also made the Rilakkuma shows. Stop motion animation is so slow and detailed and the team seem so dedicated to bringing the world of Pokemon to life.

If you’re a fan of stop motion – and Sumikko Gurashi! – I also love fromegg‘s channel. They buy all the limited edition Sumikko plushies and their unboxing videos now include stop motion introductions that keep getting longer and cuter. The latest one features the recent year of the dragon plush and made me laugh a lot.

It’s fukubukuro (lucky bag) season in Japan and you’ll find all kinds of unboxing videos across YouTube. Lorien’s Toy Box has a big selection of kawaii fukubukuro including Sanrio, Pokemon and Disney.

My DIY Advent challenge involved a lot of crafts with pipe cleaners and I’m definitely picking up a bag soon for future projects. Hello Kitty and Friends coincidentally made these super cute Little Twin Stars Bubble Wands and I might just have to make one.

Sometimes YouTube recommendations get it very right, like Mongleinae Crochet who I immediately subscribed to, even though I can’t crochet. This Crochet Cat Pouch Tutorial has a such a kawaii style and they have lots more cute animal designs including keychains, baskets and coasters!

DIY Fluffies keeps releasing free amigurumi crochet tutorials and the recent penguin also comes with a separate video for a winter hat that you could totally make for your favourite doll or plushie.
