The season is definitely changing in the UK and so are the colours of the leaves. Here are a few embroidery projects to get you crafting and excited for Autumn/Fall.

If you’re starting out and want to practice some individual autumn botanicals, then this video from Marina GM Embroidery is perfect for that. The stitch-along has a few leaves, a mushroom, and some acorns to get you started.

Hello autumn! This tutorial from Luna’s Day Embroidery is in Korean but subtitles in other languages are available too. While there isn’t a pattern, her video is very detailed so you should be able to follow along.

River Birch Threads give you a way to upcycle or breathe new life into an old piece of clothing with their mushroom forest tutorial. You can use this video to follow along, but they also have a PDF pattern and stitch guide available to buy.

Autumn/Fall embroidery patterns

This autumn fox design by Tamar Nahir Yanai (ISR) is very detailed with all of the fox’s fur, but luckily it’s available to buy with the pattern already printed onto the embroidery fabric. There are also options to purchase a full kit.
