A while ago I mentioned Pinkoi here on Super Cute Kawaii. This Asian marketplace for buying and selling original designs is similar to Etsy. It looked so promising that I ordered stationery from two independent artists on Pinkoi.
Both my orders got shipped within 2 days and contained a tracking code. Once you receive the package, you can confirm the arrival on Pinkoi and leave a review. At this moment you’ll receive a 5% discount coupon for posting a review. Pinkoi also lets you earn bonus points that you can use for a small discount on your next order.
KumaYankee shopping experience
KumaYankee from Macau creates stamps, washi tapes and cards adorned with the cutest bunnies. It took two weeks for my order from KumaYankee to arrive in the Netherlands. Opening it felt almost like receiving a birthday gift.
My order was packed very well, in bubble plastic and sealed with cute bunny washi tape. The smaller stationery items came in a cute gift bag.
Kuma included a couple of freebies, including these clear stamps. I’m so happy with them, aren’t they super cute?! She wrote in the note that I’m her first customer from the Netherlands! I really hope more kawaii fans from our small country will follow me.
The quality of this bunny cotton candy jar stamp is very good, I’m looking forward to using it in my journal. It’s probably the most detailed/sharp stamp in my wooden stamp collection.
I also ordered this cute bunny greeting card. It’s made out of sturdy paper and has a matching aquarelic back.
The washi tapes from KumaYankee were one of the main reasons for me to place an order. It was difficult to make a choice, but I ended up getting this Bunny Garden washi tape, the illustrations are so cute. It should last a while, being 3cm wide and 10 meters long. I’ve used some of the tape already and can tell that the quality is very good.
The sample washi tapes are great if you don’t need a whole roll and want to save on shipping costs. You’ll receive one cycle of each tape for each quantity that you order. Cycle stands for the length of tape until the pattern will repeat itself. For instance I ordered Strawberry Bunny x 2 and received 36cm washi tape (2 cycles of 18cm).
These washi tapes come on a plastic card that also has a cute bunny illustration on it. One of my cards had some space left and Kuma kindly filled it with other washi tape. The stamp sticker with ducks was also a gift.
I really enjoy the KumaYankee items and would certainly order from her again in the future.
MeowMeowStar shopping experience
MeowMeowStar from Taiwan designs stamps, washi tapes, pencil cases and postcards. Her items are printed with cat illustrations, but also with other cute animals and fashionable people. Shipping fees from MeowMeowStars to most countries are €3,62, which I think is very reasonable. It took a little over two weeks for my order to arrive in the Netherlands.
Everything was packed in a sturdy envelope with illustrations from MeowMeowStar and wrapped in pink heart-shaped bubble wrap! I ordered three stickers packs and received quite a few freebies.
The two postcards and washi tape cards were a gift, I especially like the cute bunny ones.
I just had to order something with cats from MeowMeowStar and got this pack of lying cat stickers. The soft colours and poses really stood out to me. I’m sure every cat-owner (a.k.a. servant) will recognise something of their cat in these stickers.
The galaxy girls stickers are super nice in person. My camera has a bit of a problem to get the colours right. The images on Pinkoi give a better impression. If you are into pastel colours, I think you might enjoy these stickers as well. I’m thinking about ordering a second set, because I would feel sad about using them up.
These comet woman wear stickers display fashion girls in fun poses. They are quite large at about 8cm each. All stickers from MeowMeowStar that I ordered are of a very good quality. The free postcards also looked well made. I haven’t tested the other items from MeowMeowStar, but her shop gets very good – mostly 5 star – reviews.
