One of the frustrating things about the San-X Japan store is that every new collection features a few items that you can only buy in person at kawaii shops in Japan. That was the case with these Rilakkuma pop-up Easter egg magnets but I managed to track them down on eBay. I had to buy the whole set so there’s 2 left for you to win in our Easter giveaway!
You might have seen this type of magnet before – ARTBOX had some with Sanrio characters last year. It looks like a closed egg but when you stick it your fridge, it pushes a lever on the back and Rilakkuma pops up from inside! It’s very satisfying to play with and great for entertaining yourself while you wait for the kettle to boil.
There’s four in the set – the original trio of Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori, plus new pal Kogumachan. Each has a different patterned egg, all in pastel Easter colours. I’m very happy with my Rilakkuma and Nicolette got Kogumachan.
Want to win Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori? Check our Instagram this evening for a mini giveaway! It will be a much simpler giveaway than usual and just run Friday-Monday so make sure to add your entry. As always, it’s open worldwide. Giveaway now closed.
If you’d like to buy a full set, the same UK seller has another one available. I can recommend them – my package even included some free Rilakkuma stationery!
