Posted on January 12, 2023 by

2023 is here and we’ll shortly be welcoming in the Year of the Rabbit (Lunar New Year falls on January 22nd this year). To celebrate, I’ve rounded up some of the cutest bunny themed treats to make in honour of this year’s zodiac sign.

Kitchen Princess Bamboo makes these beautiful little rabbit mochi, which I think would be such a lovely way to celebrate the start of the Year of the Rabbit.

Miffy cupcakes recipes

If you wanted to have a specific rabbit character to decorate your treats with, then Miffy has to be the perfect choice (although you could make the biscuits as plain bunny heads instead). The Simple Sweet Life tops their cupcakes with icing and adorable little Miffy biscuits.

These German cookies from Clarakitchen21 are absolutely adorable. They may look a little bit fiddly to decorate, but the bunny faces on these cookies are completely worth it.

If you want to test your baking skills, then these bunny macarons from Pies and Tacos should be on your radar. The decoration on them is very spring related, but this could easily be altered to fit with the Lunar New Year.

These lemon bunny doughnuts from Kawaii Sweet World can be made from scratch or, if you’d prefer, you could just add the decoration to bought ones (or your own recipe). Either way, they’re going to be delicious!

With 11 days of Spring Festival starting on the 22nd with the New Year, there’s plenty of time to make some of these little rabbit treats, or you can even save them until Easter. Which one do you want to try first?
