It’s Pancake Day here in the UK, which is always a good excuse to eat pancakes for every meal. If you’d like to celebrate the day with some DIY crafts, I’ve found some cute ones.
First off, you should probably make some pancakes to eat. There are lots of videos for Rilakkuma pancakes but Rosanna Pansino‘s version looks super easy. It uses banana and chocolate chips for most of the features, just leaving a mouth to draw. I might even try this myself. Here’s a vegan pancake recipe you can substitute too.
I was surprised to discover that German stationery company Staedtler has a YouTube channel where they post cute craft tutorials but that’s 2020 for you. This is a very cute and easy DIY for a Fimo pancake bookmark you can use for your journal or studying.
If you enjoy decoden, Whipple have a pancakes kit with four cute treats to make for decorations or charms. You can find it on Amazon (UK – shipped from Japan).
ChelseyDIY has a fun tutorial for a squishy stack of pancakes, made from paper. Could be helpful to relieve stress when you’re ready to flip over your pancakes.
If you prefer to leave the pancake making to others, you can still join in with this kawaii Pancake Day clipart set by MonChou Clipart Store. Print it on sticker paper to decorate your journal or make cards and decorations.
Are you making pancakes today? What’s your favourite topping?
