Hello Happiness is a kawaii subscription box service that sends you a package of useful items each month that follow a character theme. The box they sent me was My Melody themed, which I was quite happy with. Let’s dig in!

Hello Happiness Kawaii Subscription Box Review

The box arrived safely wrapped in waterproof wrapping paper, and everything inside was packaged quite nicely and securely.

Inside the box was I was impressed to find a variety of useful items: a rice bowl, set of chopsticks, washi tape, sticky note booklet, page flag set, pen, and fleece hand towel. There’s even a pretty little card giving you some background information on the character, which is neat.

My Melody Sticky Notes & Flags

I do have a bias for stationery, so I was very happy to receive several things I can use with my planner including sticky notes and page flags! The sticky note booklet is quite long and contains a variety of large and small memo sheets, which makes it handy for on-the-go planning. The pen is a high quality .38mm Uniball Signo that writes well.

My Melody Washi Tape

I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of the washi tape. Sometimes washi isn’t that sticky, but I’m happy to report that both rolls are adequately sticky.

My Melody Rice Bowl & Chopsticks

The rice bowl is small, and has a cute design featuring My Melody on both sides. The chopsticks match perfectly and feel high quality. I can’t wait to use them next time I make a Japanese dish for dinner!

My Melody Hand Towel

The box also included a fleece hand towel with a convenient loop at the top for hanging. I’m rather used to terry cloth hand towels, so I’m not sure if I’ll ever actually use it, but it’ll be an adorable decorative towel for the bathroom either way!

Hello Happiness Kawaii Subscription Box Review

The Hello Happiness Box is a good value box for what you receive, and is on-par with other similarly priced subscription boxes. If you’re looking for a new box to try out or gift to someone, I do recommend purchasing at least one to try out. Especially since the December box will feature Hello Kitty, so it’s sure to be cute.

Pricing & Information

The Hello Happiness Box costs $26.95 for each monthly box, or you can choose a 3-month subscription for $65. They also offer one-time mini grab bags for $12.95, and shipping is free on all options. The only downside to this box is that it is currently only open to USA subscribers. Hopefully in the future they offer international shipping!
