Kawaii Box emailed recently to tell me about their new monthly subscription service and it’s pretty sweet!
Every month you’ll get a box of cute hand-picked Japanese and Korean products through your letterbox so if you love cute things, it’s a great way to add to your collection and get some surprise post too!
But is it worth your money? They sent me a box to check out and here are my thoughts. Firstly, it does actually arrive in a sturdy box so no worries about your cute new things getting damaged or crushed. I opened it and found a cute little card – such a nice personal touch!
This is what I found under the tissue paper! The box was crammed pretty full of cute items and everything arrived in good condition. Kawaii Box promise 10-14 items in each box, which will include stationery, stickers, phone charms, nail decoration, mobile phone accessories, keitai & decoden items, plushies, jewellery, beauty accessories and more.
Here’s exactly what I got (this photo is by Kawaii Box, but it’s just a better lit version of the one I took myself) – a DIY candy cake kit, Korean stickers, Rilakkuma coin purse, 3 washi tapes, ice cream pen, macaron charm, ice cream plush, lollipop hairslides, ice cream necklace, cat mini card, decoden phone sticker and a nail art kit – pretty much something for everyone!
Some items are things I might have bought myself – the pen, washi tape, hairslides and stickers – and I was pleased to get a DIY candy kit as I’ve always wanted to try one. I also really love the ice cream necklace, which I would never have thought to buy myself. With a box like this, there will always be a few things that aren’t to your taste (for me, it’s the nail art and decoden kits), but they can always be shared or traded with a friend.
For $16.90 a month and free shipping worldwide, the Kawaii Box is a great deal and would make a fantastic gift for a kawaii fan. You can order one online now and view the contents of all the previous boxes too.
