Konichiwa! It’s my turn to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about what I get up to. I am best known as my other animal-related guise, Miso Funky where I embroider traditional samplers and homewares with a very modern twist. I also dabble in a few other crafts and the name of course comes from my love of all things Japanese. I even started learning to speak Japanese a while ago but have so far not had a chance to use it in a real life Tokyo shopping scenario!

The other part of Miso Funky is all about the kawaii – I have a range of stationery, plush and other accessories for sale, mostly picked up in Bangkok where I lived for most of the first part of 2008. I am most taken with food with faces on, cute bags and tofu plush, so expect to see lots of posts about those from me!

I also sell on Folksy and Etsy with my main outlet being Miso Funky.

Updated 2020: Claire now sells her patterns as ClaireBrownXS
