- I’m not even really a big fan of Sylvanian Families but I gasped at how adorable the new dessert-themed collab with FamilyMart Japan is. Unfortunately, it’s only available through a lottery system in select stores but we can at least look at all the images.
- We finally have an update on the new Rilakkuma 2D anime including some new images. It will be on TV in Japan next April and hopefully on YouTube for the rest of us too.
- Harajuku’s Legendary Kawaii Monster Cafe Is Reborn as KAWAII MONSTER LAND, opening this Winter. TokyoScope has all the details.
- Cute new Sanrio sweet treats you can try in Japan this month include a mini cake set with Ginza Cozy Corner and the return of Pompompurin puddings at Pastel. The Cakes with Faces guide to Pop-up Theme Cafes is also updated regularly.
- SoraNews24 got to try the Kuromi Afternoon Tea Party in Japan if you’re always wondering what these special dessert events are really like. While not linked to the Netflix series, it all really looks like it could come from Kuromi’s bakery, though thankfully missing the pickled onions.
- They also discovered this incredible vending machine by a tiny bakery in Osaka where you can buy cute cat-themed cream & fruit cake inside a gacha capsule!
- If you’re in London this month, pop into the Hilton London Bankside and take a photo with the Miffy plush wall! It’s free and there’s more Miffy art on display too.
- We’re too late to tell you about kawaii artist Michelle Romo’s recent Cosmic Collections exhibition but you can still view (and buy) the art online, which includes intricate paper cut art, resin figures and shaker charms.
