Super Cute Kawaii celebrates our 17th anniversary this week! Here’s an update on how things are going & what’s coming up next.
Firstly, I am very motivated to hit that 20 year milestone so you can expect to see us around for at least few more years! Huge thanks to all our readers for sticking around. On the other hand, it is getting harder and harder to survive. Usually we’d be returning to our normal blog schedule of 5 posts a week but I can’t guarantee that every week. We’re currently down to 2 regular writers (Arlandyia & Emma) and I’m job hunting, which means less time for me too. All our content continues to be free so if you’d like to help us celebrate, you can download some freebies from our Ko-Fi shop and/or make a donation to help with our running costs. Otherwise, just eat some cake whie you read this post.

One thing that’s become increasingly depressing is how much longer it takes to research handmade/art posts and find new shops, due to social media algorithms, AI generated art/craft patterns, restricted shipping, art theft, scams and worse. A lot of artists are understandably moving to their own websites, Patreon, conventions etc. which are much harder for us to find out about and cover.
If you’re a kawaii artist, maker or designer with original and unique products, or a small shop selling official and licensed kawaii brands, we’d love to hear from you.
