- Sakura KitKats – The cherry flavour is subtle but adds interest to the white chocolate.
- Sakura Peanuts – I love the combination of salty peanut with sweet coating that’s brought together with a hint of sakura.
- Cherry Blossom Cookies – Buttery, crisp and delicious and again with that subtle flavour that tastes a little more like cherry than sakura.
- Sakura Blossom Cake – the cake is extremely moist and is filled with sakura leaves making for a great flavour. I wish there were more of them in the box!
- Vegan Shoyu Ramen – A gentle soy sauce ramen that comes from a liquid soup rather than a powder and is full of flavour.
Sakuraco – Sakura in Bloom
The cherry blossom is on its way and what could be more perfect than sharing a box of Sakuraco snacks with your friends under the blooming trees. Each monthly box contains 20 traditional, authentic, and artisan Japanese snacks from local snack makers across Japan, including Japanese teas, a special Japanese tableware item and a full colour booklet. For this month’s box, there’s Sakura Blossom tea and a beautiful handcrafted Sakura Kozara Plate. Only 1 item isn’t suitable for vegetarians (senbei).
Marceline’s Favourites
- Sakura Castella – light and airy cake that contains real sakura petals. This disappeared in moments.
- Sakura Warabimochi – almost too beautiful to eat with a sakura blossom suspended inside a clear jelly dome with a sweet syrup drizzle.
- Sakura Mochi – bright pink with a slightly sparkly finish and so soft and chewy with a sweet cherry flavour.
- Sakura Kohakuto – sakura flower-shaped candy that has a crisp crunchy sugar shell and jelly-like inside.
- Sakura Blossom Tea – real cherry blossoms that bloom so prettily when you add hot water for a subtly sweet tea.
