It’s been a while since we shared some whale sharks so here’s some cute ones I’ve spotted recently with both shopping picks and crafts.

You can always count on AMUSE for cute animal plushies and these Jinbezame Whale Sharks are available in 3 sizes at Tofu Cute (UK). I love that they have a big mouth pocket where you can put a smaller plush, a secret treat, or, sure, your whole hand.

A little less realistic, but even cuter, are these doughnut whale shark plush keychains from Afternoon Fika (EU), available in three sweet flavours. There’s matching stickers too, plus a watermelon whale shark.

Cosy up with a book and use this adorable whale shark bookmark from Keeper of the Suns (AU) to keep your place. They’re good quality too with a double-sided print on heavyweight velvet-touch paper.

Acorviart (US) has so many cute whale sharks including stickers, pins, washi tape and even socks! My favourite is this beautiful art print postcard. I love the colours and it reminds me of watching the whale sharks at Osaka aquarium.
On to DIYs and how kawaii is this Crochet Whale Pouch tutorial from ETM’s Studio? The face is adorable and I love the idea of adding colourful buttons for decoration. It’s suitable for beginners too.

Janie’s Daisies has an affordable sewing pattern for a whale shark bag that includes 2 sizes for small shoulder bag or larger tote. It has so many nice touches like the applique star, little fins and bow tail. The pattern is beginner-friendly and your bag can be customised in lots of ways – check the listing for loads of ideas.

This little whale shark cross stitch pattern by LaSelvaDesign should be a quick project, even if you’re a beginner. It would also be cute in shades of blue or pink if you don’t want to buy so many grey threads.
The hungry whale shark origami tutorial from Tatsukuri Origami is the cutest one I’ve seen, by far. Not only can you make it in all different colours and sizes but it has an open mouth to swallow up unsuspecting jellyfish or bite the ear of a seal. This would be so fun stuck on a card with your message being swallowed up.
