The dog is my Chinese zodiac animal, so I was happy to look for some projects I could share for Lunar New Year. While I adore cats, I’ve found that the internet definitely needs more dog crafts! If you’re looking to celebrate the occasion with crafting, here are some of the cutest DIYs.
Ohana Craft Amigurumi has a fit-in-the-palm-of-your-hand-sized amigurumi pug tutorial in honor of 2018’s zodiac animal, which is perfect for tiny craft lovers.
For a larger crochet project, Storyland Ami’s Year of the Dog pattern is perfectly described as “cuddle-sized.” It really is cute enough to cuddle!
Looking for some paper crafts? Kamikey Origami has several Year of the Dog videos that are super cute, including this origami doggy DIY. I love watching their videos because they are thorough enough for beginners to origami. There’s also a similar envelope version.
Being a huge fan of Little Dear’s cute style and delicate embellishments, I couldn’t leave out Aimee’s Chinese zodiac sewing pattern set that includes an adorable puppy. (She has two other sets to round out the rest of the zodiac, too!)
