Easter is here and if you’re looking for something quick to make over the weekend, or to keep kids entertained, these cute bunny craft patterns and tutorials are all easy and free! They don’t need a lot of supplies either, if you’ve got some paper, yarn or thread leftover from other projects.
There’s a lot of Easter-themed origami tutorials on Youtube but ちっしー折り紙 Chisshy Origami’s bunny origami might be the cutest and they’re made from just one sheet of paper! Check the channel for lots more Easter tutorials including extra decorations for your bunny – like an Easter basket and carrot frame – and egg holders too.
Kamikey’s Easter Bunny origami also uses a single sheet of paper for a more egg-shaped bunny that sits up by itself. Using patterned paper or adding a few stickers for decorations makes them all look really fun and different.

Ayelet Keshet has a free printable template for 3D Easter Bunny table decorations that you can make in 2 sizes using any kind of paper. They’re very simple to make and yet look so sweet frolicking around the table.

The Make Arcade has added an Easter Bunny to their weekly series of free cross stitch charts. It’s beginner friendly and there’s also a quick video tutorial to show you how to turn it into an egg-shaped decoration.

I’ve been thinking of trying blackwork and was very happy to find this free blackwork pattern from Trunky Stitches featuring a design of bunny rabbits, flowers and carrots. While blackwork is traditionally stitched all in black (hence the name!), some of the other free animal patterns add some colour, which looks really cool so I think I’ll do something similar.
Art IDEA have just added a new baby bunny pom pom tutorial that’s too adorable, and takes me right back to holding a baby bunny at a bunny cafe in Japan. It’s easier than it looks and they have a few other bunnies in their pom poms playlist too.

ETM’s Studio has a mini bunny crochet tutorial that’s fast to make so you can have little bunnies everywhere and use up leftover yarn. If you don’t have plastic eyes, you could embroider them instead, or use felt.

Club Crochet has a free Easter Bunny pattern that also includes a full crochet-along video. They show you how to adapt it into other animals too so it’s really versatile.
Your bunny needs a carrot too! DIY Fluffies has you covered with this free pattern & tutorial for a carrot amigurumi plushie. It’s easy enough for beginners and you can change the size with different types of yarn.
