If you enjoyed Arlandyia’s recent post on Cute Ways to Cover Up Journaling Mistakes but don’t have any suitable supplies. I’ve done the searching for you! Here’s some cute options to stash away, ready to hide your mistakes, or make them look like part of your spread design. Most of these brands can be found at stationery shops worldwide.

Arlandyia recommended Deco Rush from Hobinichi (JP), which lets you apply washi tape in the same way as correction tape. There’s lots of cute designs to choose from that match their 2026 journal covers, plus collabs with Tamagotchi and Moomins.

If you prefer a plain cover up, it doesn’t need to be boring. Legami (EU) have a very useful 2-in-1 solution with correction tape on one end and glue tape on the other, plus it looks like a cat’s paw!

mt’s (UK) Basic range of washi tape is available in hundreds of solid colours and simple patterns (and a few different widths) to match any aesthetic. Since you can write on top, it’s great for covering mistakes, or for headings and borders.

Keep some craft punches on hand to cut out shapes from paper or tape. Simple shapes like these scallop circles at Hobbycraft (UK) are really versatile, but you can find all kinds of fun shapes out there, as well as borders.

Memo pads are great for adding some decoration to your journal pages, covering up mistakes or for adding a lift-up flap. There are millions of cute designs out there to match your aesthetic, but these SOM SOM Sticky Notes at MochiThings (US) would fit in anywhere and have lots of space for writing.

I also love these Ricordo Flake Seals from Mind Wave at Tokyo Pen Shop (US). Much like flake stickers, you get 40 stickers with 8 designs but these are much larger with beautiful flower & fruit frames. The biggest issue is trying to pick a favourite from the six colours available.

Craft stamps also have lots of uses for journaling and Sakuralala (JP) have some fun and useful sets of clear stamps. These frames would look so cute stamped over washi tape or coloured paper backgrounds, and the little flower and bow can be used for cover ups or to create borders.

Of course, the easiest way to avoid mistakes is to use erasable pens! Under the Rowan Trees (UK) has a great range from Frixion and Legami that are available individually or as a pack. There’s ballpoints, highlighters and multi-colour pens in a rainbow of colours, and some are refillable too.
