Whether you work from home, like to craft in front of the TV, have a chronic illness, or just want to be comfy and cosy, these kawaii picks will make your sofa time so much better.

I’ve always been a tray crafter but I’m converted to lap trays after picking one up on sale and now often use it for my laptop and meals too. The beanbag makes it more stable and the raised frame stops things rolling off the edge. You can find these everywhere but Lap Trays (UK) looks like a high quality option with sustainable wood. They have some cute designs and you can also create a personalised design with your own photos or artwork.

This laptop pad at The Pusheen Shop (US) is another great option if you’re always watching stuff on your phone or tablet as it has a handy slot to keep it in place. There’s still room for snacks and hobbies too.

Keep all your work stuff or craft tools & supplies organised and within reach with a cute Everyday Canvas Storage Box from Sanrio (US). It’s got lots of pockets, a carry handle and even folds down flat when you don’t need it. You can also find Hello Kitty & My Melody versions in the storage section if you’re not a Cinnamoroll fan.

There’s nothing worse than having to get out of your couch cocoon because your tea has gone cold. ARTBOX (UK) have some ombre Sumikko Gurashi & Rilakkuma mugs that are double-walled to keep your drink hot for hours, and will also be useful to have when you venture outdoors.

Or Legami (EU) have super cute and affordable USB mug warmers that you can use with your favourite mug. There are 6 kawaii designs but who can look past the happy fried egg?

You can never have too many cushions, especially if they double up as huggable friends. The XL Ebbo frog plush from ShopZoki (US) looks so soft and squishy and would be perfect for naps too.

Pets always love to cosy up with you but if you don’t have a real pup, how about a Mini Cockapoo from Warmies (global)? These plushies can be heated in a microwave and there’s loads to choose from, along with wearables.

I never understood what a comforter was until I got one and now it never leaves the sofa. For fellow non-Americans, it’s a bit like a duvet that’s printed on one or both sides and washable so you don’t need a cover. It’s much warmer than a blanket and a twin or kids size is big enough so you don’t have to spend too much. I got mine in a Black Friday sale from Society6 (US) where you can choose from lots of artist designs (this jellyfish design is by Pikaole of course), but big stores have cheaper options and character collabs, like this double-sided Squishmallows comforter at Target (US).

If it’s really chilly, Gelato Pique (US) have some adorably fluffy Pokemon roomwear sets that let you dress up as Snorlax, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Ditto or Eevee! Pretty sure I’d never leave the house again if I had one of these.

And finally, a little couch potato friend to keep you company, from Toasted Ink Studios (EU)! If you’re a potato fan, they also have matching stickers and pins.
