Halloween is only a few weeks away and our favourite kawaii characters are all ready for spooky season. Here’s my favourite plush this year, along with a few other fun releases.
The Halloween Shop is open at Sanrio (US) and includes lots of plushies of Hello Kitty & Friends wearing different types of spooky dresses and accessories. I’m personally more excited by the other items including a Kuromi book nook kit and Sugarfina candy tasting collection, glasses, light-up figures and…inflatables! Your home will definitely look much more spooky cute with a big Neon Skeleton or Black Cat Hello Kitty out front.
The Pusheen Shop’s (US) exclusive Halloween plush usually sells out before we can share it but Vampurr Pusheen is still in stock along with matching pins and more. I love her bat-shaped bow tie and little fangs. Your cats have lots of new things to choose from too, as well as the Pumpkin Patch Pusheen Cat Kit shipping in October. The Fall Pusheen Box has already sold out – look out for our review soon.
The Pokemon Center (US/UK) has gone for a Halloween Ghost Chateau theme this year, which includes big plushies of Pikachu and Cyndaquil, 4 keychain plush and a few decorations and clothing items. The Japanese site has even more stuff, including an amazing pumpkin ita bag, which you can order internationally via Meccha Japan (JP).
I already shared this year’s Halloween plush at San-X Japan and they’re mostly sold out now. US fans are in luck though as Jellybeet (US) have US-exclusive costume plush – choose from Rilakkuma Mummy or Chairokoguma Pumpkin.
Build-A-Bear (global) has plenty of cute options in the Halloween collection, as well as some new outfits and designs for the Sanrio collab. The most unexpected is Skelebara (a skeleton capybara) but there’s also a mole, goblin, zombie axolotl and the return of a few classics like pumpkin kitty. You can also pick up spooky clothing and accessories for your new or existing huggable friends.
Jellycat have a great Halloween collection (UK/US) but some characters have already completely sold out so you might need to check local stockists. There’s new spooky versions of popular characters, plus a bat, crow, toffee apple, jack-o-lantern, monsters and more.
Squishable (US) always have such unique ideas and there’s plenty of new things for Halloween including this cute coffin with Dracula chilling out inside. Some of the other designs are just a little surprising, like a tombstone, vampire bat and strawberry tarantula. It keeps getting weirder and weirder though, with a clown ghost, two-headed bear and pumpkin spice plague doctor!
