It’s another year with Pusheen Box and here’s our review of the Spring box with a Pusheen’s Bento Box theme of cute Japanese food-themed treats.
The box was extra fun this time, with a full coverage design that looks like a bowl of ramen. The vinyl figure is a more simple design with Pusheen holding a bowl of ramen. While it would have cool for the whole figure to be a bowl of a ramen, I still really love these smaller classic-style figures.
The Spring boxes often have an unexpected theme and this one has a different kind of colour scheme too with a dark grey and salmon pink. There were 6 items in the Spring 2026 Pusheen Box – plush, long sleeve tee, bento box & utensil set, foldable bag, journals set and vinyl figure. Let’s have a closer look at everything.
Exclusive Mini Plush
Last year’s boxes all had an exclusive plush and that seems to be continuing this year, with Uramaki Sushi Pusheen! I grabbed this as soon as I opened the box as the fuzzy texture looked fun to touch, and it turned out to be very soft and squishy too.
I’m very happy that this is a properly unique design and it does a good job of imitating what looks to be a salmon, avocado and pickled ginger-filled sushi roll. I also love the embroidered face on the side and the little ears that stick out. This is definitely getting added to my plush display.
Bento Box & Utensil Set
You couldn’t really have a bento box theme without including a bento box and this is a really big one (1000ml) that comes with a matching utensil set too. All the Japanese food Pusheens are amazing, especially the edamame and gyoza! This would be perfect for a packed lunch, whether that’s at work, for a picnic or on a long travel day. It’s not microwave or dishwasher-safe, but it is BPA-free plastic and the lid is completely leak-proof (I wasn’t sure so I filled it with water and shook it!).
I actually had a hard time filling it up for these photos as the sections are really deep – there are 2 layers of maki and tomatoes in there. That would make it really flexible for different types of meals, snacks and treats to keep you going. The utensil set has chopsticks and spoon, which I would find more useful than a fork and spoon. I’m going to pack this in my bag for my next holiday as it will be great to have handy for train and hotel snacks.
Long Sleeve Tee
We only got hoodies and sweaters last year, so I was happy to see something more lightweight for spring. A long sleeve tee is a great option for the sort of changeable weather we’re having just now and the fit is relaxed enough to add some layers underneath, so it’s more like a light sweatshirt. It’s very comfy too.
I’m a big fan of grey and this is a nice dark grey that will go with anything. The front print is so kawaii with all the ingredients you need to make a Pusheen-shaped bowl of ramen. It actually makes me a little sad that there wasn’t a bowl like this in the box but maybe they’ll add one to the shop later for everyone. The arm print is an extra cool touch that really elevates this and will make sure I wear it on days when it won’t get covered up by a coat.
Foldable Bag
It’s hard to get excited about yet another foldable bag but they do come in useful and this one matches the tee with a dark blue-grey background and a pattern of Pusheens and sushi. The material feels sturdy enough to manage heavy loads and is also wipe-clean.
The popper closure is a nice extra feature that I wasn’t expecting. Best of all, it folds up really small and the bag turns into an inner pocket when unfolded. I’m not sure it will replace any of my current bags but always good to have a backup.
3 Journal Set
On the other hand, I can’t help but get excited about stationery, even if I already have a whole box full of unused notebooks! These all very cute cover designs that would be especially fun for a recipe book or food/Japan-related journal. The only negative is that all 3 journals have blank pages – it’s the most versatile option but a mix of formats would have been so good.
Final Thoughts
I was really looking forward to this box once I heard the theme and it didn’t disappoint with all high-quality useful items and very cute designs. Initially, it did look a bit smaller than usual with a lot of empty space in the box and only 6 items, but since two items were sets, it all works out the same. My favourite items are the plush, tee and utensil set but I’ll be keeping everything.
