If your walls are looking a bit bare, I’ve found some cute ideas to cheer them up and get your favourite photos, art prints and pins on display. Most can also be displayed on a shelf or desk instead if you don’t want to put holes in the wall.
Tiny Craft World shows you how to make a cute pastel picture frame using air dry clay. The design and colours are perfect for a spring refresh but you could adapt it to match the photo you’re framing, or for a personalised gift.
Sanrio’s official channel also uses air dry clay to make these adorable Chococat and Friends magnet frames that you can display on a fridge or locker. They would be cute for wall art too if you sized up a bit and added holes for hanging string.
All you need is paper to make a simple origami frame with Tatsukuri Origami. Simple doesn’t mean boring though, as you can use patterned paper and add extra origami decorations. There’s lots of other cute origami frame tutorials if you want a different shape or design, especially from Japanese channels.

Craft Club (AU) have added a new range of Diamond Painting Mirror Frame kits that are so colourful and sparkly. Including a mirror in a gallery wall would add some interest and you can also swap out the mirror for a photo instead.

Tokyo Shojo (CAN) have taken a step into home decor, starting with these cute wavy Nami frames in 4 pastel colours. They’re in 2 parts so the back is attached to the wall (with damage-free removable strips) and the top part holds your print or photo in place with magnets, making it easy to swap in something new. I also love their 2-way Flower pin displays which you can hang on the wall or display on the stand.

Or Stami Studios (UK) have floating pin displays in 3 sizes and 4 colours with an optional stand. Perfect for showing off a themed collection, or rotating through your favourites that are too precious to wear.
If you already have a frame that’s not very cute, decoupage is an easy way to decorate it using patterned paper. Hobbycraft has a helpful Decoupage for Beginners video, plus tutorials for all different kinds of surfaces.
