Cherry blossom season may be over, but cherry season is here… or soon will be depending on where you live. Cherries make me think of summer and these recipes are making me feel the sunshine already!
I love the decorations on Sugar Bean’s cherry macarons. They give me retro picnic vibes and I think they’d be perfect for a seasonal celebration.

Speaking of retro, black forest cake is a bit of a throwback, but I love the combination of chocolate and cherry. Food Duchess’ version are super elegant and made with a homemade cherry filling (be aware they use the traditional kirsch in it).

The pastel colours and ruffle design of this Chocolate Maraschino Cherry Cake date back to the 1700s but this style of cake made a big comeback in the 70s and 80s and they’ve definitely been trending the last few years too. Sprinkle Bakes makes a cake fit for any party and the mix of cherry and chocolate is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Deco roll cakes take a steady hand with the decorating but this one from Oh Winnie Cakes is really pretty. It’s filled with strawberries, which is great if you’re not a fan of cherry flavour itself, although you could switch it up to match the design if you are.

These vegan flower doughnuts from The Little Blog of Vegan are filled with a berry jam (you can choose which berry), and the fact that they’re shaped like flowers makes them even more summery too.

I love a fondant cream, usually mint, but these cherry ones from Love and Olive Oil look so colourful and fruity on the inside. They even use cherry puree to make them, so I’m sure they taste extra fruity too.

This no-bake cherry cheesecake from Glorious Treats is a great summer dessert filled with fresh fruit, a cheesecake style cream mixture and biscuit. It’s perfect for those of you who don’t like baking or need something cool and refreshing on a warm day.
If cherry flavour isn’t your favourite, but the design is too cute to pass up, then these cherry fondant cake toppers from A Cake On Life can top any flavour cake you like.
