Cute Heart-Shaped Recipes for Valentines

Do you celebrate Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day? Or perhaps you just want to share the love with all of your friends. Whatever the celebration style, these are the cutest recipes to give to your loved ones to show them how much they mean to you.

Valentine's Day brownies recipes

Brownies have always been the way to my friends’ hearts, so it’s the thing I bake the most often. These heart-shaped brownies with little ‘love heart’ messages on are such a fun change from the norm. Plus, you can always use this design as inspiration, but use your favourite GF or vegan recipe instead.

Valentine's Day cupcake recipes

They may not look heart-shaped initially, but the secret lies on the inside… These hidden heart cupcakes by The Little Blog of Vegan have the perfect Valentines surprise.

If you think that love is extra sweet, then these fudge heart popsicles from Cakes by Lynz might be for you. I love the use of the sprinkles and icing drizzle to give them a cute design, but it’s definitely a sugar overload!

Valentine's Day recipes

These mille-feuille at Constellation Inspiration are such an elegant take on a heart-shaped dessert and come filled with strawberry chocolate ganache, vanilla cream and fresh lychee fruit. Save this recipe for someone truly special.

If you fancy a challenge, then these heart shaker macarons could be it. The macarons are just used for the edges of these desserts, while transparent hard candy is melted to fill the gaps like a little window to view the sprinkles through. The full recipe and detailed instructions are on the Pies and Tacos site, but the video gives you more of a visual idea of how to achieve them.

Valentine's Day cookie recipes

Ahead of Thyme’s shortbread cookies also have a little window in them, in the style of linzer cookies, and are filled with raspberry jam and white chocolate. Perfect for boxing up and sharing with friends.

Valentine's Day recipes

If you’re looking for something slightly healthier but still super adorable, then these pig tartlets, that are also hearts, will hit the spot. Luxe and the Lady uses dates and cacao in the crust and it’s filled with a strawberry mousse. I love how the little piggies’ ears are hearts too.

Some of you out there might be celebrating a little bit more than just Valentine’s Day and so Preppy Kitchen’s celebration cake covered in chocolate hearts might be the way forward. I like how the hearts are super thin and don’t scream ‘Valentine’s Day’ at you, so if it’s an engagement, anniversary or birthday too, then you’ve got the best of both worlds.
