The Olympics are over and if you’re feeling inspired to get active yourself or just missing all those hours of TV watching, I’ve found some fun sporty picks including activewear, stickers, pins and plush.
Jellycat (UK) have turned pretty much everything into an adorable plush so it’s no surprise they have a sports collection. These little keychain plushies would be perfect on a sports bag but there’s also a full size football, skateboard and even ski goggles. JapanLA (US) have teamed up with Sanrio for an exclusive collection of baseball jerseys and hats. Hello Kitty gets the most classic design but the split pastel Little Twin Stars design is very sweet. There’s also Pochacco, Cinnamoroll and Kuromi. Jersey sizes XS-3XL
BoxLunch (US) also have quite a lot of exclusive Sanrio sports items. This little tote bag is so cute and covered in patches of the characters doing various sports. There’s also football jerseys, hats and socks.
If you’re a Pokemon fan, check out the activewear at The Pokemon Center (US/UK) which has lots of tops, bottoms and hats for men and women. Sizes XS-4XL
The Huddles & High-Fives Kids Pack at Pipsticks (US) is crammed full of sporty stickers, plus a postcard and adtivity zine. There’s 2 sizes available, or you can also pick up some of the sticker sheets individually.
How cute are these animal sports stickers from NB Corporation at Cute Things From Japan (JP)? There’s everything from athletics and tennis to skateboarding and surfing.
If you have a regular sports club or class, Kittie Treats Shop (US) has some kawaii planner stickers with cats doing various sports that you can use for reminders. These martial arts cats are my favourite.
I even started to warm to the Olympic mascot, Phryge, by the end. There’s lots of official merchandise that would make a nice souvenirs, especially the enamel pins with their illustrated backing cards – many are even reduced now.
